After many, many hours of travel and delay on the tarmac in Rwanda, we finally made it safely to Uganda and spent our first day in Kawete! Thank you to all of our caring family members and friends who have been praying and sending us helpful messages about the current state of affairs with respect to travel.
As the world around us is struggling with health and safety, we are visiting with and serving people who have daily challenges. They teach us to live in the present with the understanding of the promise of eternal life in Jesus.
We were warmly greeted by the children of CCLS-Uganda along the road as we approached the school. The team was overwhelmed with their joy and hospitality as they hugged and smiled and danced and sang!
Today, the team will open the medical clinic, lead the 105 Nursery students through a Bible Study on The Lost Sheep, meet with some of the sponsored students and continue developing relationships. Pastor Meggers begins teaching at the Lutheran Church of Uganda's Seminary, focusing on Pastoral Ministry.
Pictures aren't loading well. Will post later when wifi is better.
